Choir
St. Gabriel's children's choirprepare anthems for the 11:00 service each week and other special services during the church year. Throughout their time in the choir we seek to develop choral and musicianship skills in all the singers so that they are prepared to continue to lead the church in worship throughout their lives. Past ministry opportunities have included concerts of Christmas music at a local mall and a downtown park, spring concerts and participation with the adult choir in festival services during Holy Week and Christmas. Because children deserve the best music we can give them our repertoire draws on the best choral music available for young voices. We are raising up the next generation of worship leaders and singers of sacred song and we have committed, as a parish, to make ministry to our children a top priority.

St. George's adult choirleads congregational song and offers the offertory anthem at the 9:00 service each week. The choir offers traditional Evensong, or sung Evening Prayer, Wednesday evenings at 6:30 during the seasons of Advent and Lent, and provides choral leadership during other services throughout the liturgical year. The annual Advent Lessons & Carols service is one of our most popular seasonal services and features both adult and children’s choirs singing anthems and hymns of Advent. Our repertoire draws on the best of sacred choral music from motets and anthems of early masters like Farrant, Byrd and Tye to newer choral classics. Part of our mission is to keep alive the rich Anglican choral tradition of which we are a part. It is our desire to offer the best we can in our worship and provide our choristers and parishioners alike with music that sings our faith and connects us with the great company of saints who have gone before us.
