Children

Children's Sunday School

Sunday school resumes Sunday, October 3rd, 2021.
We look forward to seeing you in the Sunday School classrooms
downstairs in the Undercroft!

Sunday school begins at 10:10 am. Parent pickup is at 10:55 am.

Please note: REGISTRATION FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL will be held in Yates Hall on October 3rd.  Please don't meet downstairs until your children are registered.  We will then let you know who your teacher will be and where everyone will be meeting.

At St. George's, we believe that our children are a vital part of the church. We also believe that it is our job to cultivate wisdom and virtue in them by helping them focus on Christ and to grow in their faith.

We will be using the Summit Ministries Curriculum, Mission 2:20, to help guide our children toward a deeper faith in the Lord.  In addition to teaching Bible Stories and moral lessons, it will show our young children and adults how to apply their faith in everything they do.  Discussion questions, games, and activities will make lessons enjoyable and purposeful.  Posters and flashcards will help our students retain essential biblical truths and recognize unbiblical ideas competing for their hearts and minds. We hope to add music in the near future.

As always, our goal at St. George's is to grow in our faith in Christ and in number of parishioners.  With that, our classes will start as the following, and we will adjust as our population grows.

Early Elementary (Pre-school and Kindergarten: 3-5 years old)
Please be potty-trained.

Middle Elementary (1st – 3rd grade; 6-9 years old)

Upper Elementary (4th - 5th grade; 9-11 years old)

Middle School ( 6th-8th grade, 11–13 years old)
meets upstairs in the Library located in the office

High School (9th – 12th grade, 14-17 years old)
meets in the Youth Room located  in the undercroft

  • The division of the classes is based on grade.  Parents know their children.  Please be considerate of the maturity/grade of your child.
  • Please note:  There will be no Sunday School Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years' weekends.
  • The nursery will be available during the Sunday School hour for those 1-3 years old (not yet in preschool).
