A Word From Our Bishop:
Today is Election Day in the USA and tensions are high. But the Lord reigns so let the earth rejoice and clap your hands to God with a shout of victory.
Your voting should not be dictated by only what you will “gain” from politicians in the areas of taxation, immigration and social services but by how your vote will enhance the glory of God, the advancement of his Kingdom, and the fostering of religious freedom so we can publicly uphold biblical teaching in regard to the uniqueness of Christ Jesus, human sexuality, Christian marriage, and human identity without harassment and persecution. We cannot invest too much into temporary gains at the expense of eternal principles that affect the eternal destiny of many in America.
Whatever is the result of these elections, please be at peace because the Lord is still in control of our lives and of the USA. But your role in enhancing that is critical. God is still sovereign. We do our part and he will do his.
Let us be in prayer for the country and for one another!
-Bishop Felix Orji, OSB.
