Welcome to St. George's Affinity Groups
Affinity Groups are a concept originally devised by our Senior Warden to allow groups of 10 or less of our more socially inclined members to worship together.
Beginning June 14th, all our services will be Holy Communion. So that members of Affinity Groups may fully participate, we will provide the printed service leaflets and blessed sacrament to each group.
As we begin to conduct worship again in the church, Affinity Groups are a great way to gather around specific summertime whims and fancies that the restrictions of currently-allowed in church worship make difficult.
These are organically formed groups of your own creation, design, description, and membership–fully supported by the church–meeting with any restrictions totally of your own choosing, gathering at parishioner homes, participating in either the livestreaming of our worship at church or around a video of that day’s worship from our website.

Groups, by their own definition, may be open to people joining them or may consider themselves full. Groups may organize themselves around any parameters that help them gather for worship in the context of our very diverse and far flung parish community in this complicated and confusing summer. We simply ask that you let us know of your formation so we can share the existence of your group, by your self-definition spark ideas for other groups, provide you bulletins and sacraments, and make you a visible part of our corporate worship.
Please feel free to ask Fr. Armstrong ([email protected] | 719-360-1928) any questions you might have so we may support you in this new venture…and help us better define what we are doing for the parish. |
